It’s been awhile since my last “Funny Friday” and let me tell you, this one will give you a chuckle and a half.  For other delightful funnies, go to the Humor section.

This post is originally from Shane Nickerson, who is an executive producer of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory show on MTV, called the 46 Stages of Twitter.  I thought Shane’s post was brilliant so I decided to revise his original post with his consent.  The original 46 became what this list is now – The 85 stages of Twitter.  Holla if you’ve experienced one, any, all, or none!  Reply to me @shinng or comment below.   This should be amusing… …continue reading Funny Friday: The 85 Stages of Twitter

NEW Twitter ReTweet Feature

Thanks to Mashable for linking back to my post via – Breaking: Rollout of Twitter Retweet Feature Has Begun [PICS] with over 2,600 reactions causing the post to be a top trending post!

Just to cover the basics for you noobs, a retweet (RT) is when a user reshares an interesting tweet usually verbatim.

Example: I tweet under my personal account (@shinng), “This new Retweet feature looks interesting.”  Anyone of my followers can retweet by “crediting” me for my tweet by inputting, “RT @shinng This new Retweet feature looks interesting.”

So going back to the breaking news: Much like the Twitter Lists, the ReTweet feature will be rolled out in phases.  Luckily, one of the accounts I manage received a beta invite. …continue reading NEW Twitter ReTweet Feature

Twitter Search Tips – Twitter Basic and Twitter Advanced Search

Twitter Search Tips:

140 Twitter Conference (#140TC) Day 1 Summary

Here’s a summary of Day 1 at the 140 Twitter Conference.

Day 1 summary at 140TC in Los Angeles, CA – Tuesday, September 22, 2009

My initial thoughts and feelings as we drove to the Skirball Cultural Center in LA.

  • Excited about learning more about Twitter
  • Looking forward to networking
  • Anxious to listen to a few celebrities whether it be online celebrities like Guy Kawasaki or “real” celebrities like Tony Hawk
  • Not looking forward to hearing other lame Twitter terms, one of which was twitterverse…wtf?

I wasn’t sure what to expect because I had never attended a conference for an employer before.  As a representative of Marketwire as its Search Marketing and Social Media Specialist, …continue reading 140 Twitter Conference (#140TC) Day 1 Summary
